Yes, I know this may sound a little cheesy, but I wrote a press release about myself and submitted it to PRWeb. Take a look:

The statistics indicate that I've already had 6000 headline impressions and 200 full page reads only one day after its release.

What can I say? I'm a shameless self-promoter. One of the advantages of writing a press release is that it has the potential to catch the attention of major news blogs, magazines, and papers. If all goes well, it will be featured in some of these news outlets as well.

So what is this all about? I'm playing a solo acoustic show at the Good Earth Café on Valentine's Day, February 14. I was told that they couldn't pay me, as much as they wanted to, because business is slow. I decided that I wanted to play a part in drawing some attention to the Creekside Shopping Centre (where Good Earth Café is located), so I agreed to take the gig.

What I'm trying to say is, let's let people know that we care about our local businesses. I know that the current economic recession is widespread and has affected a lot of people, but everyone needs a little encouragement. Show your support by bringing your friends and turning up at the show. Details as follows:
